We are so excited to share photos from our stylized shoot at Silver Oaks Chateau. Dayton and I love having our real couples as models for these shoots. We love the Chateau so much and couldn’t decide between wedding or engagement so we chose them both. Even with the rain the Chateau was just gorgeous and we still had so much fun!! Thanks to all the lovely vendors who volunteered their time and talent!
We are so excited to share this lovely wedding!!! Katy & Stephen both had so many amazing and beautiful details to add to their day. I was totally in love with the charm that was attached to Katy’s bouquet. It was an image of her grandparents on their wedding. I loved all the details that went into their invitations for Union Station. Everything added up so perfectly to help tell their story!
Katy & Stephen had the quintessential St. Louis Wedding! Katy is originally from St. Louis and wanted to give her husband a bit of St. Louis on their big day. They started off at Union Station before boarding a trolley to Ted Drew’s. The frozen custard was a huge hit with the bridal party. From Ted Drew’s we headed to the church for their ceremony.
The reception was at Union Station and was the perfect back drop. Before we left for the evening we took them to the balcony overlooking the reception area!! It was such a lovely spot for a few portraits. The reception was so much fun and the night capped off with a special delivery from Imo’s Pizza. We loved all the fun details throughout the day, and we are so excited to share the photos!!
Alison and Jonathon had such a beautiful Wedding! With the two of them living out of state we had a lot of phone calls and emails exchanged. The week of the wedding we got to have them over to the studio and meet face to face. They are such a sweet couple! We had rain most of that week so we had the rain talk and began brainstorming indoor ideas for portraits. We were so fortunate that the rain stopped just in time for our portraits and we captured some beautiful photos of them as the clouds broke.
It’s always so fun to spend a little extra time with our lovely brides to get a few extra portraits in before the wedding day. Katy perfectly aligned her hair and makeup trial for her shoot. Thanks to Lettered Life, we had two beautiful signs to add and Red Anvil provided gorgeous bouquets!
It was so great spending the evening with Katy and her sisters! We shot Katy’s sister, Kristen’s wedding a few years ago. Its been so lovely getting to know them and their wonderful family!
It was fun to explore New Town with Angie & Andy. It is such a lovely area with beautiful architecture and so many great places for pictures. It was so wonderful that they brought their sweet puppy Olive to join in with a few shots. She did so wonderful! We can’t wait till next year for their wedding!!!
We have had such a great time getting to know these two! The Wedding day was a lot of fun, starting with the ceremony at The Jewel Box in Forest Park. We had been in touch a lot with Kelsey since she had unfortunately broken her leg a couple months before the ceremony. We had thought up ways to hide the crutches and keep her as comfortable as possible. We were so excited to see Kelsey on the wedding day walking with a new walking cast. Kelsey and Cory had a sweet ceremony with family and close friends followed by a brunch reception at Wild Flower in the Central West End. The food was amazing!
Following the reception we headed back to Forest Park for photos. Cory had proposed to Kelsey at The Muny so it was a great place to start photos of them. We went to the Zoo and rode the merry go round and finished up back by the Jewel Box. Kelsey did great walking around all day with us, I know it wasn’t the most comfortable thing with the walking cast and the summer heat. The day was so much fun and we are so happy for the two of them! We wish them so much luck in Chicago and will definitely take them up on the offer to hang out with them when we are in town!

We love all the personal touches at this Wedding. Colleen and Matt are such a wonderful couple and we have really enjoyed getting to know them. Colleen is a cousin of a past groom and so we got to meet her and her amazing family a while back. Dayton & I met up with Colleen at the church for getting ready photos before the ceremony. It was really sweet to see Colleen’s Mom and sisters all together helping her get ready to walk down the aisle. The ceremony was beautiful, it was held at one of our favorite churches Our Lady of Lourdes. Following the ceremony we went to Forest Park in a little secluded part for photos of these two. They were so sweet to each other and we had so much fun photographing them! They started a photo tradition of Matt holding Colleen above his head and we had to make sure we got a photo of that. Even with the limitations of Colleen’s beautiful dress and Matt’s suit, they made it happen!
The reception was at The Carmel Room in Down Town Saint Louis. I still remember meeting with Colleen and her Mom and hearing all about the amazing reception location. They toured it before it was finished and showed us a video on their phone of their walk through. I am so happy they were able to look past the construction and choose that space. The Carmel Room was perfect! All of the details from their amazing flowers on each table to the bread pudding and the place cards with chocolate, it all turned out perfect. One of our favorite things about The Carmel Room is the roof access that we took advantage of to capture some more beautiful photos of this sweet couple. It was fun too when we were wrapping up and Busch Stadium lit off a few fire works for the Cardinals win. We had such a great time with these two and are so happy we were there to capture their day.
Katie & Heath’s wedding was such a fun way to celebrate the 4th of July!!! Dayton & I love holiday weddings! It’s always such a fun time and it’s exciting to see how the holiday is incorporated into their day.
Chandler Hill Vineyards was such a stunning venue and we couldn’t have had a more perfect day. It was so exciting to see that Katie & Heath included a beautiful Fireworks show for their guests! It was a perfect way to kick off the rest of their evening!
Dayton & I are so very excited to have Bob & Christy’s wedding day to our Blog. We are so thankful the weather held out for most of the day!
Bob & Christy had a beautiful ceremony at The Butterfly house followed by photos in the park with their Wedding party. Right as we began to wrap up the photos in the park a huge rain cloud rolled in, luckily we were all able to get in our cars and the party bus before the rain started to pour. We love that Bob & Christy made a point to visit Christy’s Grandmother for a few photos since she was unable to attend the ceremony and reception.
The reception was at the Foundry in St. Charles, we fell in love with the large open space and the artists studios. PK Paper Art had an amazing wall of paper flowers. We photographed the room with all of their beautiful décor and then we pulled Bob & Christy in for a few more portraits! We had such a good time with this super sweet couple!
Ellen & Pat are both so easy going and relaxed which made for a great day! We started our day with Ellen and her family. I loved that we were able to photograph Ellen’s getting ready images at her parents house just before they moved. It was so beautiful and filled with wonderful character!
We met the up with boys at SLU for their first look and portraits.Thankfully the rain held off for most of the day, definitely an answered prayer!!! We did have a light rain roll through for their portraits which ended up making great pictures under an umbrella. We were so happy to captured that moment.
After the ceremony at Xavier Church we headed down to their reception. Xavier has such an amazing reception area under the church. I loved the Lego bride and groom on their cake!!! It was such a cute personal touch.
We had such a good time photographing their day and happy that the rain held off!!!
